ART CLUB

 

Art club ensure quality and to set and maintain standards of excellence. The aesthetic and educational purposes are not only defined in the aims and objectives of the Art club, but efforts are also being made so that they become implicit in its organization and pervade all its activities.

 

 

The seeds of innovation are sown by this club where the students are taught paper work, drawing, colouring, painting and claywork. These activities hone their creative skills.Competitions were held on different themes during the of session to draw attention towards the hidden potential and talent of the students. These competitions helped the students to express their thoughts and imagination.To enjoy the world of brushes and colours a special competition was organized in the school campus. The objective of this competition was to extract the inherrent talent of using colours and paints.Students participated with excitement.

 

 

 

AIM:

The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.

Art Club is a welcoming place for students who have a deep passion for the visual arts. We provide training in the areas of the 2 and 3 dimensional art forms as well as craft works. Members will also attend art exhibitions and other art-related events to develop art appreciation skills.

Art Club members also assist in school events that require an aesthetic touch.
 
OBJECTIVES:

Make the students aware of the beauty of God’s creation around us.

Explore and experiment on this beauty through their art work.

Provide opportunities and encouragement to express oneself freely.

Be an active participant or be more directly involved in many Art competitions.

Develop a deep and lasting enjoyment of art that will carry over into life.

Accept and respect the work of others.

Develop pupils’ independence, interest, resourcefulness & creativity in the use of ideas, materials, tools and techniques.

To provide opportunities to the students to be exposed to new techniques and medium of art through hands-on activities and visitation to museums, exhibitions and Art Schools.

To encourage students to express their thoughts, feelings and creativity through the various visual art forms.

 

 

 

 

Above all, the Art club helps students to look at the works of modern art with greater joy, understanding and knowledge by extending their relationship with our daily life and experiencing them as vital expressions of the human spirit.

 

 

INDIAN ART AND CULTURE

 

 

Culture plays an important role in the development of any nation. It represents a set of shared attitudes, values, goals and practices. Culture and creativity manifest themselves in almost all economic, social and other activities. A country as diverse as India is symbolized by the plurality of its culture.

 

 


India has one of the world’s largest collections of songs, music, dance, theatre, folk traditions, performing arts, rites and rituals, paintings and writings that are known, as the ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage’ (ICH) of humanity. In order to preserve these elements, the Ministry of Culture implements a number of schemes and programmes aimed at providing financial support to individuals, groups and cultural organizations engaged in performing, visual and literary arts etc.
